Senior Proposal Manager, Public Sector, US Strategic Pursuits
About the role
Accelerate cloud computing adoption at the Enterprise level. Engage with worldwide public sector organizations to reinvent their IT strategy with AWS cloud computing. Lead efforts to deliver game-changing solutions to U.S. National Security customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop winning, innovative proposals including written responses for RFIs/RFQs/RFPs (RFx); oral presentations and demonstrations; and unsolicited documents and white papers.
- Work collaboratively to identify and write content for RFx responses.
- Craft compelling proposal narratives that synthesize both existing content and new inputs from SMEs, in alignment with strategic proposal objectives.
- Own proposal content development for distinct RFx sections, from ideation to final review.
- Independently gather, organize, and synthesize information from diverse AWS stakeholders, including those from sales, engineering, solutions architecture, and other organizations.
- Contribute to proposal solutioning and strategy development sessions, asking clarifying questions to proactively guide content development.
- Curate, grow, and update our team library of approved content, driving and organizing proposal content to maximize reuse effectiveness and utility.
- Review final proposal documents for editing and content completeness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to the above responsibilities.
Requirements
Demonstrated public sector proposal management and technical writing experience. B&P process development and leadership necessary to effectively support a high growth business. Industry background enabling development of win themes and technical discriminators for inclusion into proposals. Contracts background enabling interaction with legal staff. Technical background enabling interaction with technical leaders and solutions architects. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges. Familiarity with US Government acquisition guidelines. Experience supporting US federal pursuits. Experience with federal RFx compliance requirements. US Citizen with active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of in program management, workforce strategy development, or metrics-driven decision making experience.
- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences.
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
- Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Skills
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations. Experience working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking. Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level. Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams. Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.

Pay
Base salary range: $147,900.00 - $200,100.00 USD annually
