About the role

The Senior Property Manager (CRE) oversees a significant portfolio of properties and serves as a key point of contact for third-party owners. They are responsible for managing the Property Management staff, providing leadership, tracking budgets, overseeing financial processes, and resolving tenant relations issues.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, and lead property management business
  • Develop and interpret policies and programs, coordinate information flow, and manage property management strategy
  • Provide direction and leadership to Property Management staff, focusing on career development
  • Track budget variances and ensure smooth recovery processes
  • Oversee the billing process, including payment of invoices and disbursement of funds
  • Maintain cash flow and cash requirements, working closely with the Property Manager
  • Prepare reports, annual budgets, and other documents for owners in accordance with the management agreement
  • Support prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements to overhead
  • Maintain interfaces with third-party owners, ensuring compliance with contracts and accurate reporting
  • Resolve tenant relations issues to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Perform regular property inspections with staff
  • Oversee construction projects with the Construction Manager, including reviewing contracts and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with Property Management Policies and Procedures, codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of real estate property management or related experience
  • CPM, RPA, or CSM designation
  • Strong knowledge of finance and building operations
  • Proven experience in management, evaluation, development, and motivation of subordinates
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of professionals, including employees and vendors
  • Previous experience in analyzing and negotiating commercial lease and/or contract language
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Benefits

Additionally, competitive pay is provided based on factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements. The compensation range for this role is $136,000.00 - $160,000.00.

Schedule

Regular travel between properties is required, and the role may involve working in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit or stand for 85% of the time, operate office machinery, and travel between properties in different weather conditions.
