About the role
Marsh is seeking a Senior Property Broker to join our Risk Management Placement team in New York. This role involves leading property damage and business interruption advisory and placement for some of our largest companies, analyzing complex risks, designing insurance programs, and providing technical leadership within the Property Practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead property damage and business interruption advisory and placement for large companies.
- Analyze and assess complex property and business interruption risks.
- Design and structure comprehensive insurance programs and coverage frameworks.
- Market insurance programs and negotiate with national and international insurers.
- Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise within the Property Practice.
- Support standards, templates, and best practices for the team.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Support cross-organizational initiatives, including sales efforts and ad hoc projects to improve service models and processes.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with property insurance, with proven technical expertise.
- Proven track record with large, complex property risks.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Strong analytical skills in risk assessment and program design.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high ambition for quality.

Pay
The applicable base salary range for this role is $154,200 to $328,400. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
Schedule
Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections, and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
