About the role
The Senior Property Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dublin, OH.
Responsibilities
- Manage the financial accounting for a portfolio of properties, including preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and posting journal entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, assist with budget preparation, support audits, and monitor compliance with regulatory and company accounting policies.
- Day-to-day tasks include reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, collaborating with property management teams, and providing clear financial insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to apply GAAP principles to property management operations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and conducting Financial Reporting for multiple properties or business units.
- Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger maintenance, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of property management or real estate accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in property management, real estate, or affordable housing (LIHTC, HUD, USDA-RD, Bond financing) is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and work effectively in an on-site, collaborative environment.
