About the role
This role offers the opportunity to own key accounting and reporting responsibilities within a well-established commercial real estate firm, while working closely with leadership on process improvements and business initiatives. You'll play a visible role on a collaborative team and gain exposure to broader finance and operational functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting for a commercial real estate portfolio, ensuring accuracy across all financial activities
- Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Perform and review key account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet activity
- Oversee billing, collections, and payables processes while providing guidance and ensuring proper coding and accuracy
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial and operational reporting efforts
- Partner with internal teams on lease-related financial matters, tenant activity, and overall portfolio performance
- Assist with audit, tax support, and continuous process improvements across systems and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
- 3-5+ years of accounting or finance experience (Required)
- Commercial real estate or property accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Yardi or similar property accounting software preferred
- Strong communication skills and professional presence
