Senior Property Accountant

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the financial performance and reporting for an assigned portfolio of properties from transaction processing through financial statement delivery.
  • Perform month end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations with complete and audit-ready support documentation.
  • Oversee the monthly close process, including the preparation and review of financial results, analysis of key variances, and timely reporting.
  • Monitor cash activity and support cash flow management through coordination with operations and AP teams.
  • Work alongside internal teams on tax-related questions tied to specific projects.

Ideal Profile

  • 4 years of related experience, preferably in public accounting or real estate accounting.
  • Accounting degree required.
  • Yardi Experience.
  • Someone who wants to grow into a well-rounded accounting professional.
  • CPA or CPA-track is a plus, but not a must.
