Senior Property Accountant Responsibilities
- Own accounting for a portfolio of properties, including monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash management
- Prepare annual property budgets, revenue projections, operating expense analysis, and capital improvement planning
- Partner with property managers, leadership, investors, and external auditors on reporting, audits, and financial analysis
- Prepare CAM, real estate tax, lease-related calculations, distributions, and priority return schedules
- Maintain tenant and lease details in MRI while supporting process improvements and cross-functional accounting projects
Senior Property Accountant Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate, property management, or property accounting
- Strong general ledger, reconciliation, financial reporting, and month-end close experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with property managers, leadership, and external partners
- Experience with Yardi or MRI preferred
