About the role
This role is a key position within the growing South Group of CDM Smith, focusing on municipal projects in Tennessee. The Senior Project Manager will manage water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction services, and will also assist in new business development.
Responsibilities
- Manage water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction services from early concept development through construction
- Serve as a leader of project teams and mentor staff, including coordinating and reviewing project assignments
- Work effectively with key technical specialists, project team members, and delivery managers
- Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and schedules while managing the firm’s risk using the latest project management tools
- Aid in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning
- Collaborate with sales team members in response to client requests for qualifications (RFQs)
- Interface with clients and government officials and provide updates to upper management as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of related experience
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required
Qualifications
- Professional engineering (PE) license preferred
- Experience on water/wastewater infrastructure design projects in Tennessee preferred
- Alternative project delivery experience preferred

Benefits
CDM Smith offers a competitive compensation package, including a range of USD $120,973.00 to USD $211,723.00, dependent on experience and qualifications. Other benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
