Senior Project Manager, IT Transition & Technology Programs

The Senior Project Manager will inherit and execute the Transition Management Office (TMO) governance and program management discipline behind Rose Bio's separation from CRL across core IT workstreams, focusing heavily on driving the SAP ERP implementation while providing coverage for HRIS/payroll (UKG) and less-intensive Salesforce and UKG work. This role combines hands-on project delivery, milestone tracking, and governance. This position is on site and can be in Memphis, TN or Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Transition Management Office (TMO) & Governance Execution
  • Review, take over, and maintain existing Transition Management Office (TMO) governance structures, including RAID logs, to-dos, and system-integrator dependencies.
  • Manage master program plans, workstream sequencing, dependency management, and tracking against TSA exit milestones for IT separation from Charles River Laboratories.
  • Drive program governance: steering committee cadence, budget tracking, and status reporting to the CIO and executive leadership.
  • Identify and track risks and issues across the program, escalating promptly to the CIO with clear options and recommendations.
• ERP and Core Systems Implementation
  • Run the SAP ERP implementation workstream: manage project deliverables, milestones, schedule, budget, risk, and issue tracking, while the CIO owns the SAP SI relationship and implementation decisions.
  • Provide project management coverage and coordination for the HRIS implementation, alongside supporting Salesforce and UKG work as needed.
  • Partner with business process owners and Quality stakeholders to track that system implementations progress against required future-state process designs and GxP validation milestones.
• Program Reporting on System Integrator Delivery
  • Track system integrator and implementation partner performance against agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality within the program plan, reporting performance clearly to the CIO.
  • Coordinate across multiple SIs and implementation partners working in parallel, flagging integration points, conflicts, and delivery risks to the CIO.
• CDMO and Regulated Environment Context
  • Bring working knowledge of CDMO operations and the regulatory considerations (GxP, validation) that intersect with IT and ERP program work.
  • Partner with Quality and manufacturing operations stakeholders to ensure IT separation and ERP plans account for validated system and regulatory requirements.
• Executive and Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as a key point of accountability to the CIO for IT transition and technology program status, risk, budget, and constraints.
  • Communicate program status clearly and objectively to executive leadership and stakeholders, distinct from making technology or vendor decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships across functional leaders (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Quality, Operations) whose workstreams intersect with the program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program/project management experience, including direct experience leading IT carve-out, divestiture, or major transformation programs.
• Experience running or playing a senior role in a Transition Management Office (TMO) or similar large-scale separation program.
• ERP implementation experience required, specifically SAP; understanding of ERP implementation milestones and hands-on systems implementation experience is essential.
• Experience with Salesforce and UKG (or comparable HRIS/payroll platforms) a strong plus.
• Strong classic PMO skills: governance, RAID management, milestone and budget tracking, executive reporting.
• Strong dependency management skills, with experience identifying and resolving cross-program and cross-workstream dependencies before they become blockers.
• Experience tracking and reporting on system integrator performance within a program management office, distinct from owning vendor commercial relationships.
• Experience in a CDMO, life sciences, pharma, or other regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred; familiarity with GxP and validated systems a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical program status into clear guidance for executives, functional leaders, and delivery teams.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience reporting to C-level leadership in a private equity-backed or similarly high-visibility environment.
• PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certification a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

What Success Looks Like

• IT separation from CRL is completed on schedule and within budget, with TSA exit milestones met.
• SAP, Salesforce, and UKG implementation programs are tracked with rigor, providing clear, timely visibility into schedule, budget, and risk throughout.
• SI and vendor performance issues are surfaced early and clearly, giving the CIO what's needed to manage those relationships effectively.
• CIO and executive leadership maintain clear, timely visibility into program status, risk, budget, and constraints at all times.

Reports to: CIO
Direct reports: Individual contributor / Peer collaboration model (works alongside internal program resources rather than managing a direct team of program managers)
Travel: Regular travel expected across Rose Bio's four sites (Rockville, MD; Memphis, TN; Northridge, CA; Keele, UK) to support workstream execution

Pay

The pay range for this position is $175,000–185,000 per year. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
