Senior Project Manager - Federal Programs

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Federal Programs to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will lead complex project delivery efforts for federal programs, with a strong emphasis on client management, technical coordination, and execution against scope, schedule, and budget. The position will partner closely with project teams, leadership, and clients to advance major assignments from pursuit through delivery. It also plays an important role in proposal development, business development support, and team development on large‑scale engineering work.

Location: Arlington, VA – US‑based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotations, prepare technical proposals and contracts.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, managing the project team to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, and design for assigned projects.
• Implement project delivery plans and supervise project teams to achieve objectives.
• Oversee project staffing, recruitment, and development of project staff.
• Assist with business development and client relationship building for major projects.
• Lead proposal development and presentations for substantial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
• 12 years of relevant experience in project management.
• 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred).
• Master’s degree or advanced credentials in related fields (advantageous).

Pay

Compensation: $207,686 – $331,758 annually.
