Senior Project Manager - Federal

About the role

STV is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Federal, with 10+ years of experience delivering Federal or Military AE design delivery to serve our growing federal buildings practice. This position will be located in Louisville, KY, or Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

Reports directly to a Project Delivery Manager developing and overseeing project deliverables, financial metrics and ensuring client satisfaction and program criteria are met with a high level of performance. The selected candidate will manage all elements of project work including scope development, qualifications and proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, budgeting, scheduling, staff management, design coordination, change management, cost estimating, bidding support, construction administration, cost control, project communications and documentation, and cash management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and enhancing client relationships; serving as the primary company contact; and delivering quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client and according to internal standards and policies.
• Administering relevant aspects of a formal quality program including performing quality checking and ensuring the quality program is adhered to.
• Providing leadership to project teams and facilitating collective problem-solving efforts to find solutions to complex project challenges in fast paced environments.
• Managing project schedules and deliverables in compliance with project goals to meet financial profit targets.

Qualifications

The successful candidate possesses most of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or a related degree
• Licensed Architect or Engineer with reciprocity capability.
• PMP certification is considered a preferred qualification, but not a requirement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including proficiency in writing technical reports and project correspondence.
• 10+ years’ experience working on and/or managing diverse local and national projects.
• Proposal negotiation experience.
• Experience in creating/managing Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plans.
• A proven record of team leadership and coordination with discipline leaders, fellow Project Managers, and corporate/government leadership.
• Adaptability, resourcefulness, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to varying business situations while representing the best interests of the company.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design and/or construction completion.
• Experience with MS Office Suite software including scheduling software (MS Project).
• AutoCAD/Revit and Deltek experience is a plus.

Skills

Required skills include:

• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally (approximately 10-15% of time)
• Pass client required background checks as applicable to obtain credentials for classified document handling and secure facilities access.
• Federal projects will require a valid U.S passport with an active driver’s license with REAL ID (or other acceptable form of REAL ID and proof of U.S citizenship).

Pay

Compensation Range $164,279.49 - $187,747.98. STV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner. The listed pay range is STV’s good-faith salary estimate for this position. Please note that the final salary offered for this position may be outside of this published range based on many factors, including but not limited to geography, education, experience, and/or certifications.
