Senior Project Engineer – Transportation/Highway - Western NY

Responsibilities

• Manage highway and transportation projects from planning through construction support
• Lead roadway design using NYSDOT standards and Federal Aid requirements
• Prepare design reports, construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Provide technical leadership and quality oversight throughout project delivery
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and agency partners
• Mentor engineers and help develop the next generation of transportation professionals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, practical infrastructure solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• New York Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred) or willingness to obtain shortly after joining
• Eight or more years of transportation engineering experience
• Strong experience delivering NYSDOT and Federal Aid transportation projects

Skills

• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lead project teams while building productive client relationships

Pay

Estimated Salary Range: $121,680 – $138,320 annually. Actual compensation is based on experience, education, certifications, technical expertise, geographic location, and market conditions.
