Senior Project Engineer - Paint

About the role

Serve as a new model project leader for North American Paint plant departments, managing standard flow and activities to meet project targets and enhance manufacturing characteristics. Lead development for minor and occasional full model changes with guidance from leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Paint and Production Engineering teams to confirm designs, prepare status summaries, and present evaluations.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and business teams to incorporate past model reflections and factory capabilities into design and manufacturing processes.
• Understand plant processes, constraints, and capabilities, feeding insights into new model development.
• Develop project targets aligned with factory characteristics and business goals, ensuring KPI achievement.
• Create and manage action plans (SAP), monitor progress, and ensure deliverables meet cost, quality, and timeline requirements.
• Maintain cross-functional relationships across departments and suppliers.
• Lead daily meetings, coordinate stakeholders, and report on project budgets and manpower.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant experience, preferably in Paint.
• Minimum of 2+ years in new model development or manufacturing, with Paint experience preferred.
