About the role
The Infrastructure Advisory team at BTY is seeking a Senior Project Consultant to join our New York team. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience and a university degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or a relevant professional qualification.
Responsibilities
- Work and assist on between 2-4 projects with regular supervision.
- Prepare pre-bid and pre-financial close technical advisory reports.
- Complete Realistic Outside Costs Analysis and Reasonable Downside Analysis.
- Attend and participate in multidisciplinary Project kick-off meetings for pre-bid services.
- Attend and participate in lenders and rating agency calls.
- Complete site inspections and reports including photographs in support of construction period services.
- Work closely with senior team members to determine project changes.
- Prepare the technical components and fees for proposals.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior level team members as designated, including the introduction to site visits.
- Network occasionally promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.
Requirements
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative.
- Responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests.
- Self-motivated with good organizational, communication and report writing skills.
- Able to work in a team environment and able to work to own initiatives.
- Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work with good time management.
- Hold a valid drivers license.
Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent to any of the following: Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Working towards or obtained a relevant professional qualification: PQS, MRICS, P. Eng, CPA, CFA, LEED AP.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
