About the role

The Infrastructure Advisory team at BTY is seeking a Senior Project Consultant to join our New York team. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience and a university degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or a relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Work and assist on between 2-4 projects with regular supervision.
  • Prepare pre-bid and pre-financial close technical advisory reports.
  • Complete Realistic Outside Costs Analysis and Reasonable Downside Analysis.
  • Attend and participate in multidisciplinary Project kick-off meetings for pre-bid services.
  • Attend and participate in lenders and rating agency calls.
  • Complete site inspections and reports including photographs in support of construction period services.
  • Work closely with senior team members to determine project changes.
  • Prepare the technical components and fees for proposals.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior level team members as designated, including the introduction to site visits.
  • Network occasionally promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative.
  • Responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational, communication and report writing skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment and able to work to own initiatives.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work with good time management.
  • Hold a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent to any of the following: Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Working towards or obtained a relevant professional qualification: PQS, MRICS, P. Eng, CPA, CFA, LEED AP.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
