Senior Program Manager, Trailer Performance, Middle Mile Fleet Management

About the role

Amazon's Middle Mile is looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled, and innovative Sr. Program Manager to own and manage overall trailer uptime across the Middle Mile fleet. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements that keep trailers available and reliable. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience partnering with technical teams, managing stakeholders and customers, and delivering strong results through cost optimization initiatives, vendor pricing agreements, and spend efficiency across Amazon's Middle Mile Fleet.

This position requires a high degree of autonomy, the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, and the capacity to develop solutions and drive projects forward with minimal guidance. You must think strategically while executing methodically to deliver to the highest standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiences. An entrepreneurial orientation and willingness to roll up your sleeves in a start-up-like environment are key.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage overall trailer uptime across the Middle Mile fleet.
• Drive continuous improvements to ensure trailer availability and reliability.
• Develop and execute cost optimization initiatives.
• Manage pricing agreements with vendors.
• Drive spend efficiency across Amazon Middle Mile Fleet.
• Partner with technical teams and manage stakeholders to deliver results.
• Navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal guidance.
• Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to varied audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
• Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
• Knowledge of general AI tools.
• Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is as follows:

• Arizona (Tempe): $115,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
• Tennessee (Nashville): $104,100.00 - $155,400.00 USD annually
• Virginia (Arlington): $115,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
• Washington (Bellevue): $115,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
