Hybrid schedules are available for this role, requiring at least three days in the office (including Tuesdays and Wednesdays), with flexibility for the third day based on department needs. Employees must be available to work up to five days in the office for emergencies, training, or policy changes.

About the Role

Works independently to provide expert direction and planning for complex programs within Engineering. Responsibilities include project lifecycle management, adherence to Eversource policies, and collaboration with internal stakeholders across multiple organizations. The role involves coordination of studies, resource scheduling, cost monitoring, and ensuring successful project implementation within regulatory time limits and budgets. May lead cross-functional teams on regulatory and legislative issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategic and tactical plans to ensure operational readiness and compliance with state and federal energy legislation and regulations.
  • Oversees the department’s most complex projects through their complete lifecycle, from application to final test and closeout.
  • Influences changes in philosophy, design approach, or business practices related to programs.
  • Analyzes, tracks, and reports on department goals, SLAs, and other metrics.
  • Analyzes data and develops reports and innovative solutions for projects.
  • Tracks and analyzes engineering estimates and project costs to improve forecasting.
  • Provides direction and guidance to employees working on various programs; serves as program technical leader.
  • Provides regulatory and legislative support, including answering interrogatories and witness testimony as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Business, or Engineering. MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of electric power system operations, utility regulation, and applicable governmental and regulatory laws.
  • Solid understanding of business financial principles.
  • Ability to lead cross-process teams and provide technical solutions for complex, concurrent projects.
  • Must be available for emergency restoration assignments as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary.

Pay

Annual salary range: $141,080.00–$156,760.00. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
