Senior Program Manager

This position is located in Huntsville, AL and is currently contingent upon funding expected later this Fall.

About the Role

Provide subject matter expertise on respective requirements and standards. Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality services. Directly oversee project management, technical teams, weapons systems modernization, and interfacing/briefing Corporate Executives and DoD customers. Lead program change management and the resulting cost and schedule modifications with internal and external stakeholders. Manage the overall development life cycle for complex projects on schedule and within budget. Work with customers, senior officials, and engineers to develop a strategy and road map that provides compelling and value-add innovations and new capabilities.

Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise contractor personnel, and communicate policies, purposes, and goals to the organization. Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities. Make all staffing decisions, including skill mix and assessments. Align with strategic goals and objectives of the Portfolio. Drive growth, development, and nurturing of people, programs, capabilities, and execution activities. Lead business development within the current customer base and/or for new customers. Advocate for maintaining the i3 culture and embodying i3 core values.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in the defense industry
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs involving multiple subcontractors, material vendors, and demanding customers throughout their lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to manage costs on multimillion-dollar design and development programs, including ETCs, EACs, and other cost accounting methods
• Demonstrated ability leading and developing cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience with risk management
• An active DoD Security Clearance and the ability to maintain it (required)
• DoD Proposals experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
• U.S. Citizenship (required)
