Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager - Traffic Engineering

About the role

The Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager in Traffic Engineering will lead complex traffic engineering projects, manage teams, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of traffic signal systems and intersection improvements
• Manage project teams to meet deadlines and budget constraints
• Conduct traffic studies and prepare reports on traffic flow and safety
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments to develop and implement traffic management plans
• Ensure all projects comply with state and federal traffic engineering standards and guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional traffic engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with traffic engineering software such as Synchro, CORSIM, or VISSIM
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
