About the role
The Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager in Traffic Engineering will lead complex traffic engineering projects, manage teams, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of traffic signal systems and intersection improvements
- Manage project teams to meet deadlines and budget constraints
- Conduct traffic studies and prepare reports on traffic flow and safety
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to develop and implement traffic management plans
- Ensure all projects comply with state and federal traffic engineering standards and guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional traffic engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience with traffic engineering software such as Synchro, CORSIM, or VISSIM
- Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
