Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager - Traffic Engineering

About the role

The Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager will lead traffic engineering projects, manage teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex traffic engineering projects from conception to completion
• Manage project teams, including coordination with other departments and external stakeholders
• Ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and regulatory bodies
• Contribute to the development and implementation of traffic engineering policies and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in traffic engineering
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and traffic engineering software

Qualifications

• Experience with traffic signal design and intersection improvements
• Knowledge of transportation planning and analysis tools
• Understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility guidelines
• Experience with public outreach and community engagement
