Senior Production Specialist, E&S Lines

The Senior Production Specialist at Lexington Underwriting AIG plays a crucial role in marketing and underwriting for acceptable business in accordance with established guidelines. This position requires a minimum of three years of commercial insurance company, agency, or brokerage experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership capabilities within the department.
• Independently select, monitor, and price new and renewal business according to Company guidelines per Underwriter’s level of authority as outlined in individual “Authority Letter”.
• Market our products and services and travel to assigned agents as required.
• Communicate with agents regarding rating, underwriting, and policy issuance issues.
• Aid in the training of support staff within the team as well as within the Department.
• Aid, implement, or coordinate special projects and timetables such as revised forms, new coverages/classes, research, and Underwriting Guide revisions.
• Aid in planning, coordinating, and implementing in-house education training or other company functions.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at industry functions, conventions, and corporate events.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Working knowledge of US Casualty lines of business including product features, forms, regulatory environments, and risks.
• Knowledge of underwriting construction business would be beneficial.
• Demonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship building experience, ideally with the Wholesale marketplace.
• Ability to work in dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
• Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job.
• Comfort with analytical tools and technology.
