About Matterport

Matterport, a CoStar Group brand, is transforming the built world through its pioneering 3D digital twin and AI‑driven spatial data platform. By combining immersive technology, precision data, and advanced visualization capabilities, Matterport empowers professionals across industries—including commercial real‑estate, hospitality, architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and residential—to market, manage, and analyze properties in entirely new ways.

About the Role

Matterport is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own positioning and go‑to‑market for commercial real‑estate and new‑home construction. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you will focus on the two industries closest to how buildings are built and sold. Commercial real‑estate is the anchor market, with owners, operators, asset managers, and brokerages each buying for different reasons. New‑home construction is the natural adjacency, serving homebuilders, developers, and residential contractors. You will work alongside the Director’s partnership strategy with CoStar Group’s marketplaces (including LoopNet) and collaborate with the broader team on cross‑portfolio themes such as facilities management.

Responsibilities

  • Own Positioning and Go‑to‑Market: Develop differentiated positioning, messaging, and go‑to‑market strategies for commercial real‑estate and new‑home construction, defining distinct buyer audiences (owners, operators, asset managers, brokerages) and crafting tailored messages.
  • Execute Commercial Marketing Plan: Implement the marketing plan that supports the LoopNet relationship, prioritize quarterly focus areas, and justify resource allocation.
  • Know the Buyer Better Than Anyone: Conduct regular direct conversations with customers and prospects, gather and act on feedback (including contradictory insights), maintain deep understanding of buying cycles, budget holders, and loss points; track competitors and translate findings into positioning and product feedback; represent Matterport at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
  • Arm the Field: Create sales‑enablement materials such as industry narratives, discovery guides, competitive positioning, and customer proof points; collaborate with account executives and sales leadership to refine content; develop compelling customer stories and references; support demand‑generation campaigns with messaging and offers.
  • Own the Numbers: Be accountable for conversion metrics and deal value within your industries, report performance, and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Work with AI: Leverage AI tools for buyer research, competitive monitoring, and content production, and share effective practices with the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person university or college.
  • 8+ years of overall experience and 6+ years in B2B product marketing, industry marketing, or vertical marketing, including at least three years focused on a defined industry audience.
  • Direct experience marketing to the commercial real‑estate industry (owners, operators, asset/property management, brokerages, CRE data & analytics, or related technology).
  • Working understanding of how commercial property is bought, financed, leased, and managed, and who holds budget authority at each stage.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positioning from first‑hand buyer conversations rather than product documentation.
  • Proven record of producing sales material that the field actually uses, with the judgment to know what works.
  • Funnel literacy – ability to quantify how your work impacted conversion or pipeline.
  • Excellent writing skills; the role involves deciding what to say and saying it well.
  • Comfort managing more than one industry simultaneously, with disciplined sequencing.
  • Practical AI fluency in your own workflow.
  • Track record of commitment to prior employers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to homebuilders, developers, or residential construction.
  • Experience marketing to AEC audiences or to construction and capital‑project stakeholders.
  • Experience working alongside a commercial real‑estate marketplace, listings platform, or data provider.
  • Familiarity with facilities management, property operations, or building‑lifecycle audiences.
  • Enterprise B2B SaaS experience with a direct sales force.
  • Familiarity with 3D capture, imaging, spatial data, or visualization technology.
