About the role

The Senior Product Manager, The Roku Channel – Roku OS will own the streaming-service experience for The Roku Channel on Roku’s flagship platform. This role requires a deep understanding of streaming services, experience in defining and delivering multi-quarter visions, and strong collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver a multi-quarter vision across key streaming journeys including discovery, navigation, content details, and engagement loops
  • Identify friction and opportunities across time-to-content, selection rate, and repeat engagement, balancing viewer delight with business goals
  • Prioritize with impact: draw hard lines on priorities informed by viewer insights, content strategy, company goals, and data, ensuring high-ROI experiences
  • Be intensely data-driven: define KPIs and success criteria; form hypotheses and run experiments that drive measurable lifts in engagement, retention, and monetization
  • Partner deeply with UX to design intuitive, high-performing experiences that balance usability, editorial storytelling, and personalization
  • Lead execution with Engineering to translate strategy into crisp PRDs, align scope and milestones, and deliver high-quality features on predictable timelines
  • Operationalize programming and merchandising: work with Content Strategy/Programming to translate launches, tentpoles, and seasonal moments into scalable merchandising patterns (collections, campaigns, modules, messaging)
  • Collaborate with Recommendations/Personalization to integrate ML-powered discovery thoughtfully balancing editorial intent, personalization, and experimentation to improve satisfaction and engagement
  • Partner with the Search team to ensure Roku Channel content is discoverable and represented effectively across search entry points and results experiences
  • Monitor and optimize performance: track dashboards, cohorts, and content-level insights; iterate post-launch to drive sustained KPI improvements, not just feature delivery
  • Communicate with clarity: align stakeholders across Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Content teams; surface tradeoffs and decisions with crisp, executive-ready narratives

Requirements

8+ years of product management experience with increasing scope and cross-functional impact, strong streaming services background, experience owning customer journeys and business outcomes for a streaming app or service, demonstrated success driving engagement and retention through discovery improvements, merchandising strategy, and personalization-informed experiences, proven collaboration with ML/recommendations teams and comfort balancing editorial curation with personalization and experimentation, strong analytical skills, defined KPIs, built measurement plans, and used data to guide prioritization and iteration, excellent product judgment and UX sensibility for content-rich UIs (home, navigation, rails, content details), technical fluency: comfortable working with APIs, data pipelines, experimentation frameworks, and client performance considerations, exceptional communication and stakeholder leadership skills; ability to influence decisions across Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Search, and Content teams, Bachelor’s degree required, technical degree a plus, AI literacy and curiosity

Qualifications

Gen AI literacy and curiosity. You have either 1) tried Gen AI in your previous work or outside of work or 2) are curious about Gen AI and have explored it

Pay

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $176,000 - $302,700 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

Schedule

This role is eligible for a hybrid work approach where teams generally work in the office Monday through Thursday and Fridays are generally flexible for remote work, except for employees whose specific roles or assigned office location require five days' a week attendance.
