Senior Product Manager - Technical, Denied Party Screening, AWS Compliance & Security Assurance
About the role
The Senior Product Manager - Technical will own the product roadmap and drive domain innovation for Amazon's Description Denied Party Screening (DPS) products. This role requires technical depth, domain fluency in sanctions screening, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap - use Amazon's Working Backwards process to identify customer pain points, define requirements, and prioritize delivery
- Drive domain innovation - monitor trends in sanctions/AML screening, denied party list management, fuzzy matching algorithms, and AI/ML-based detection to inform product strategy
- Partner cross-functionally - work with engineering, legal, compliance, and operations teams to design and deliver scalable screening products that meet both technical and regulatory requirements
- Manage execution - track progress, communicate to stakeholders, mitigate risks, and maintain quality
- Build feedback loops - analyze user data and operational metrics to continuously improve detection accuracy and user experience
Requirements
Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience, experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition, experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product, and experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in building and driving adoption of new tools and experience at Amazon.
