Senior Product Manager - Tech, AWS Application Protection
About the Role
The Perimeter Protection organization at AWS helps protect customers of AWS and Amazon.com against DDoS attacks and web application threats. Customers rely on our four services, AWS Shield, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, and AWS Firewall Manager, to protect application availability across their organization so they can focus on growing their business. The AWS WAF team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to help us build new services and improve our existing services for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers, other Amazon teams, and software engineers to identify opportunities to launch new products and continually improve the AWS WAF service
- Define customer focused feature sets, identifying bold bets, diving deep into service metrics, network analytics, pricing and bundling, and being the overall business owner of the product
- Interact at all levels of the AWS business in a highly visible position
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
- Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
About AWS WAF
AWS WAF is a web application firewall that helps protect customer's web apps or APIs against common web exploits and bots that may affect availability, compromise security, or consume excessive resources. AWS WAF gives customers control over how traffic reaches their applications hosted on Amazon CloudFront, ALB, API Gateway, or AppSync by enabling them to create security rules that control bot traffic and block common attack patterns, such as SQL injection or cross-site scripting.
Pay & Benefits
- Base salary range: $152,200.00 - $205,900.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle)
