Senior Product Manager

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve product strategy for key domains (AI assistant behavior, merchant tools, platform/SDK, analytics)
  • Translate company goals (ARR, expansion, retention) into clear product initiatives
  • Deeply understand merchants, shoppers, and internal stakeholders through research, data, and direct customer interaction
  • Identify and validate opportunities using qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Define product requirements, user stories, and success metrics
  • Prioritize ruthlessly in a fast-moving environment with limited resources
  • Partner closely with engineering to ship high-quality features quickly
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, sales, CS, and marketing
  • Own launches, rollout plans, and post-launch measurement
  • Work with AI/ML teams to define product requirements for conversational AI, automation, and personalization
  • Balance AI capabilities with UX clarity, merchant control, and trust
  • Lead product decisions around: Proactive AI triggers (on-site behavior, cart state, intent), AI configuration & guardrails for brands, SDKs, APIs, and extensibility for non-Shopify platforms
  • Define and track product success metrics (conversion lift, AOV, engagement, retention)
  • Use data to inform decisions and iterate quickly
  • Clearly communicate tradeoffs and outcomes to leadership

Requirements

  • Must-have: 5–8+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • Strong product sense: ability to simplify complexity and focus on real customer value
  • Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams and ship continuously
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and cross-functional
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and high ownership
  • Strong plus: Experience in e-commerce, Shopify ecosystem, or retail tech
  • Experience with AI/ML-powered products or automation tools
  • Platform, API, or SDK product experience
  • Startup / scale-up background (Series A–C)
  • Data-driven mindset with hands-on analytics experience
