Senior Product Engineer
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will help shape and deliver software that supports key healthcare insurance workflows for carriers, agents, and consumers. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and operational stakeholders to build scalable platform capabilities, improve user experiences, and enable new business opportunities. The position requires a product-minded engineer who can move quickly while maintaining strong standards for quality, security, and reliability. The work will span APIs, developer-friendly tooling, and modern system architecture with opportunities to apply AI/ML where it meaningfully improves the platform and customer experience.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $174,000 – $210,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and operate high-quality features for scalable APIs
- Define next-generation healthcare technology solutions through robust platform development and AI/ML integration
- Promote innovation by iterating rapidly on product releases
- Build tools for carriers, agents, and consumers, including enrollment and CRM systems
- Create and manage meaningful roadmap items that facilitate new business opportunities
- Collaborate effectively in a high-trust, accountable team environment
- Continuously improve code quality, scalability, and agility
- Engage in a DevOps culture, delivering value multiple times a day
- Address security and telemetry proactively in system design
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product engineering, particularly in healthcare technology
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and ReactJS, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational data models
- Experience building scalable distributed systems
- Expertise in creating developer-friendly APIs
- Knowledge of system observability and telemetry
- Product-minded approach focused on user experience
