Responsibilities
- Own products and major features from concept through production, iteration, and long-term ownership.
- Build polished customer-facing experiences using React and TypeScript.
- Design scalable backend systems using Python and PostgreSQL.
- Build AI-powered features using modern LLM technologies and AI workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Machine Learning Engineers.
- Make architecture decisions, write production-quality code, and improve existing systems.
- Ship quickly while maintaining a high quality bar.
- Use AI throughout the engineering lifecycle, including planning, architecture, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and code review.
- Continuously improve engineering workflows by thoughtfully integrating AI into day-to-day development.
- Help shape how an AI-native engineering organization operates.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience (professional experience only).
- Experience building and shipping production software used by real customers.
- Experience owning products or major features from idea through production.
- Experience working in startup or small, fast-moving engineering environments where engineers own broad product areas.
- Experience working closely with Product, Design, or AI teams.
- Frontend: Strong React experience. Strong TypeScript experience. Experience building polished, customer-facing user interfaces. Strong product sense and attention to user experience.
- Backend: Strong Python experience. Experience building production APIs and backend services. Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience. Experience designing scalable backend systems.
- AI-Native Engineering: Regularly use tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, or similar for: Planning, Architecture exploration, Coding, Debugging, Testing, Documentation, Code review, Refactoring. Clearly explain: How AI has fundamentally changed your engineering workflow. Where AI works exceptionally well. Where AI still requires human judgment. How AI has improved your productivity or changed what you're able to build over the last year.
- Product Mindset: Strong customer empathy. Comfortable making product decisions alongside engineering decisions. Experience iterating based on real user feedback. Comfortable operating with ambiguity and incomplete requirements.
