About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager will play a critical role in driving supplier performance and ensuring seamless execution across a complex global supply base. Acting as a strategic, hands-on partner to quality, engineering, and senior leadership, this individual will lead key supplier initiatives, resolve production challenges, and mitigate risks that threaten schedule, cost, or quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery.
  • Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family, ensuring on time delivery and meeting all Quality requirements for products.
  • Reviews critical shortages with the multiple stakeholders.
  • Managing the supplier relationship and improvement activities.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and communicate program execution risks of supplier deliverables.
  • Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
  • Communicate and work closely with different internal organizations and internal customers such as quality and engineering to overcome any production and quality impediments.
  • Reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. Present to senior leadership.
  • Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
  • Able to work on special projects presenting direct to Senior Leadership.
  • Able to support other team members for escalations at complex suppliers.
  • Responsible to monitor and implement corrective actions to ensure adherence to team metric targets.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 7 years’ experience.
  • Aerospace industry or similar experience in areas of Engineering, Supply chain, Procurement and Operations.
  • SAP experience.
