Manager, Procurement (Onsite)

About the role

The Supply Chain organization at RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Manager, Procurement to join their dynamic team. This role involves overseeing procurement activities for materials supporting Raytheon business units, collaborating with both internal customers and external suppliers, and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of acquisition professionals, managing their workloads, goals, and career development
• Manage escalations and resolve internal customer and supplier issues
• Drive financial goals related to subcontract deliveries
• Develop plans for cost reduction and performance improvements
• Manage subcontract purchases using integrated supply chain models
• Prepare and analyze solicitations, negotiate contracts, and place purchase orders
• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years experience
• Experience in procurement, supply chain management, and supervisory/leadership roles
• Knowledge of FAR or DFARS regulations
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance, or STEM field preferred
• Ability to analyze cost and pricing data and determine proposal compliance
• Practical knowledge in process execution and project management
