Senior Principal Technical Program Manager – Supply Chain Operations

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex customer engagements within our global Supply Chain Operations organization. This strategic role sits at the intersection of customer requirements, manufacturing operations, engineering, and business execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Supply Chain Operations lead for new customer engagements with unique technical, manufacturing, or operational requirements. Partner with Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to assess customer needs and define engagement strategies.

  • Evaluate customer requirements and determine operational readiness, manufacturing capabilities, and supply chain implications. Lead customer-facing discussions related to manufacturing, fulfillment, logistics, compliance, quality, and operational scalability.

  • Drive end-to-end program execution from engagement qualification through operational launch and ongoing support. Develop comprehensive program plans, milestones, risk assessments, and execution strategies. Coordinate cross-functional technical teams to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines, and customer commitments.

  • Establish governance structures, communication plans, and executive-level reporting mechanisms. Assess where products will be manufactured and determine the most effective supply chain strategy to support customer requirements. Evaluate manufacturing site capabilities, capacity, tooling, test requirements, quality systems, and fulfillment models.

  • Partner with factory operations, manufacturing engineering, procurement, logistics, quality, and planning teams to develop scalable solutions. Identify gaps in operational readiness and drive mitigation plans.

  • Organize and lead virtual teams across engineering, manufacturing, planning, sourcing, logistics, quality, and business operations. Facilitate decision-making among technical and business stakeholders while balancing customer commitments, operational constraints, and business objectives. Influence senior leadership and drive alignment across organizations with competing priorities.

  • Identify program risks, supply chain constraints, and operational challenges early in the engagement lifecycle. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful customer onboarding and product delivery. Drive process improvements that enhance the organization's ability to support future customer engagements efficiently and predictably. Capture lessons learned and institutionalize best practices across the supply chain organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline.

  • 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations, or related leadership roles.

  • Deep understanding of high-tech manufacturing environments, including product introduction, contract manufacturing, factory operations, quality systems, and supply chain execution.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of global supply chain processes, manufacturing networks, procurement, logistics, planning, and fulfillment.

  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical teams and business organizations to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Experience managing customer-facing programs and complex operational engagements.

  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field).

  • Experience supporting enterprise or hyperscale customers with customized product or operational requirements.

  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI), product lifecycle management, and manufacturing transfer processes.

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global manufacturing networks.

  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and supply chain planning systems.

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.
