About the role

The Senior Principal IS Program Manager advises, consults, and manages high-visibility, complex programs that have impact across all functional areas and divisions in Information Services. They work with internal and external leadership and are viewed as a business partner in the delivery of key strategic programs. They rely on extensive knowledge and experience to plan, organize, direct, and supervise teams and program activities in a way that achieves program objectives. They lead processes to accomplish program objectives, manage change, and resolve issues that span across multiple programs. They enable collaboration across teams and stakeholders and lead through influence.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, consult, and manage high-visibility, complex programs that have impact across all functional areas and divisions in Information Services.
  • Work with internal and external leadership and are viewed as a business partner in the delivery of key strategic programs.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and supervise teams and program activities in a way that achieves program objectives.
  • Lead processes to accomplish program objectives, manage change, and resolve issues that span across multiple programs.
  • Enable collaboration across teams and stakeholders and lead through influence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Operations, or Information Technology or equivalent education/experience.
  • 12 years Information Technology and/or Healthcare Industry experience.
  • 12 years in the project / program management field.
  • 1 year Portfolio management experience (e.g. EMR, Business Applications, M&A, Infrastructure, etc.).
  • Experience with vendor/contract management and negotiations.
  • Development and execution experience with business development, marketing, communications, financial planning, and benchmarks/metrics.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or clinical field.
  • Coursework/Training: Project Management methodologies.
  • Upon hire: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Upon hire: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Upon hire: Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification.
  • Upon hire: Certifications in process optimization such as Six Sigma, Lean, CQIA, or other nationally recognized programs.
  • 6 years' experience in healthcare industry.
  • 3 years' experience in resource management.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with vendor/contract management and negotiations.
  • Financial planning and metrics development experience.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
