About the role

Acts as a primary liaison between Hill Physicians Medical Group (HPMG), physicians, office staff, and contracted ancillary providers and facilities. The Senior Practice Support Advisor supports the provider network within an assigned geography, establishing credibility and building trust within physician offices.

Primary responsibilities include interfacing regularly with practice staff, identifying quality improvement opportunities aligned with HPMG initiatives, assisting practices in leveraging or adopting technologies to optimize performance and improve patient outcomes (e.g., EPIC HillChart, MyChart, HillMetrics, Provider Portal & HillLink), and collaborating with internal departments to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Educates and advises network providers on maximizing compensation and performance related to quality improvement incentives, appropriate documentation of risk, patient experience survey results, total cost of care, and the use of electronic tools.
  • Reviews and educates on payment methodology and recommended focus areas for improvement.
  • Builds relationships with providers and office staff, acting as a brand ambassador for HPMG.
  • Responds to network providers’ needs, triaging issues to appropriate HPMG departments and tracking resolution to maintain provider satisfaction.
  • Recruits physician participation in Hill offerings and solutions (e.g., Clinically Integrated Network, Epic EHR, preferred specialists, care management outreach).
  • Trains physicians and practice staff to access and utilize the Provider Portal, authorization/care management systems, and electronic population health tools to close care gaps.
  • Educates practice staff on requirements to participate in HPMG programs (e.g., PPO Clinically Integrated Network).
  • Conducts Practice Manager Meetings and New Provider Office Orientations.
  • Provides ongoing education on workflow processes and best practices, including training, evaluations, and development of education components.
  • Leads presentations in various settings.
  • Participates in the design of Hill initiatives, providing feedback based on experience in physician offices.
  • Collaborates with other Practice Support Advisors on outreach strategies and mentors new PSAs.
  • Organizes internal and external meetings for department members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in physician office business operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and influencing others.
  • Excellent public speaking skills; training experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects with varying timelines.
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Improvement Science, or Practice Transformation a plus.
  • Aptitude, familiarity, or experience with healthcare technology applications (e.g., practice management systems, EMR, billing systems).
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Basic understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding a plus.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree highly desired, or a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a managed care, clinical practice, or healthcare environment.

Pay

$76,000 - $99,000 annual salary.
