About the role
This open position is in a highly behavioral residential home setting. We are seeking candidates with experience working with behavioral individuals.
Responsibilities
- Advocate and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.
- Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc.
- Assist with medical appointments, banking, community outings, and activities.
- Administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and follow medical guidelines.
- Safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency.
- Maintain certifications, handle job-related duties in compliance with Agency policies, and follow all DDS regulations/policies.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
