Direct Support Professional (PT/3rd)

Verland is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the team at our Reaghard House in Cheswick, PA. In this role, you will provide exceptional care and ongoing support for individuals with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges.

Schedule

• Part-time: 24 hours per week
• Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Tuesday and Wednesday

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform housekeeping and laundry duties
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable means of transportation
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions
• Must pass a complete background check, physical, and drug screening

Verland provides 2 weeks of paid training to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene, and each individual’s support plan and personal development goals.
