Responsibilities
- Lead interconnection studies for large-load generation across ERCOT and North America
- Manage multidisciplinary teams for transmission planning and grid integration projects
- Develop technical methodologies and quality assurance for power system studies
- Apply NERC, FERC, and ERCOT requirements for interconnection studies
- Lead dynamic and electromagnetic transient modeling using industry tools like PSCAD and PSS E
- Interface with utilities and stakeholders to present findings and technical recommendations
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of technical capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred with Power Systems specialization
- 10-15 years of experience in power systems engineering and utility infrastructure projects
- Experience as a technical lead on transmission, renewable, or data center interconnection projects
- Expertise in steady-state and dynamic modeling with PSS E and PSCAD
- Strong knowledge of ERCOT processes and interconnection requirements
- Experience with big load interconnections and grid reliability assessments
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain licensure within six months
Pay
$107,900 – $195,050 annually
