About the role

We are looking for an experienced product manager whose passion is to help children be creative and learn through play. This role involves defining our next-generation, technology-enabled play experiences and partnering with our technology domain teams to deliver world-class, high-quality products that create fun and memorable play moments for children and adults alike.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the user inside the team, immersing yourself in user insights and trends to develop compelling opportunities that deliver value to users and the business.
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for your product area and gain buy-in throughout the organization.
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of the product.
  • Understand the financials involved with product development to ensure decisions are grounded in user and business value.
  • Ask questions to identify root causes and design the right solutions, always seeing the bigger picture while maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Navigate complex requirements and partner with the team to reach considered decisions throughout the product development cycle.
  • Communicate user needs, product strategy, and roadmaps to a variety of audiences, translating complex concepts into easy-to-understand ideas.
  • Craft inspirational demos that convey the product vision and user benefits, keeping play at the center.
  • Integrate play value, usability studies, research, and market analysis into technical product requirements to deliver playful products.
  • Drive outstanding outcomes at every stage of the cycle, ensuring what gets built is the right thing for users, done well, and continuously delights them.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on product management experience from connected products, consumer electronics, robotics, or a closely related field, with at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch.
  • Recent experience within the last 3 years working on immersive physical-digital experiences plus two or more of the following: firmware, wireless connectivity (BLE, WiFi, or equivalent), mobile applications, or cloud/backend services.
  • Deep user empathy backed by insight and data; able to articulate user needs and root causes clearly, going beyond surface-level feedback.
  • Demonstrable experience taking a product from discovery through to launch and beyond, including owning post-launch iteration.
  • Proven ability to build and communicate a prioritized, outcome-oriented product roadmap; makes tradeoffs explicit and decisions defensible.
  • Experience running structured discovery in new disruptive products in the 0–1 space and applying clear prioritization frameworks.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to frame product decisions in terms of business impact.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A bias toward action, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Passion for interactive experiences and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Applies agile and lean delivery principles effectively across the full product development cycle.
  • Experience with modern product development tools (JIRA, Confluence, JAMA).
  • Desire to push the bounds of LEGO play into new and uncharted play experiences.
