About the role
Make a meaningful impact on healthcare-help shape the future of physician talent. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Emerson Health and President of EPA, the Senior Physician Recruitment & Relations Specialist plays a critical leadership role in attracting, engaging, and retaining top physician talent across practices affiliated with Emerson Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive physician recruitment and retention strategy
- Collaborate with leadership and medical staff to define annual hiring goals and workforce plans
- Design and manage the recruitment budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, tracking, and onboarding physicians
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and physician candidates to ensure a high-quality recruitment experience
- Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, continuously improving processes and outcomes
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with healthcare regulations and legal guidelines for not-for-profit hospitals
Requirements
- 2-3 years of recruitment experience required
- Experience in physician recruitment, physician relations, human resources, or executive search required
- Prior experience recruiting physicians in a healthcare setting required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Master's degree preferred

- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
- Solid understanding of the healthcare environment, including physician practice operations and recruitment regulations
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong business acumen, including strategic planning, financial management, and business development
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher) and database tools
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion
