Senior Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Genoa Healthcare is a pharmacy care services company that is part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group's family of businesses. We partner with community-based providers and others to ensure that people with complex health conditions get the right medications and are able to follow their treatment plans. We seek a Senior Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Work with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule & Location

• Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work onsite at 3271 E Queen Creek Rd., Suite 101 Gilbert, AZ 85297, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
