About the role

Genoa Healthcare is a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group’s family of businesses. We partner with community-based providers to ensure people with complex health conditions receive the right medications and follow their treatment plans. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics
  • Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct pharmacist supervision
  • Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Assist the pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Perform various clerical duties related to pharmacy operations
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to work onsite at 1515 E Osborn Rd., Phoenix, AZ, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment, subject to applicable minimum wage laws.
