Senior Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Genoa Healthcare is a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group’s family of businesses. We partner with community-based providers to ensure people with complex behavioral health and addiction treatment needs receive the right medications and follow their treatment plans. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support dispensing operations and clerical functions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, helping change lives through coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for pharmacist verification
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain accurate inventory records
• Assist the pharmacist in maintaining compliance with federal and state requirements
• Perform clerical duties related to pharmacy operations
• Communicate professionally in verbal and written forms
• Complete other duties as assigned

Schedule

Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm; lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Ability to work onsite at the Phoenix location during the specified schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment, subject to applicable minimum wage laws and eligibility requirements.
