Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Account Leadership
    • Own digital and performance strategy, execution, and results for the agency's flagship and highest-complexity accounts.
    • Build and execute media plans and budget allocation directly on key accounts - not just review them.
    • Dig into the data yourself: diagnose performance issues, identify the lever to pull, and direct (or make) the fix.
    • Partner with the accounts team on client sessions and quarterly business reviews, bringing original digital and performance analysis and a clear point of view.
  • Insight-Driven Reporting & Storytelling
    • Build and standardize reporting frameworks that translate campaign performance into clear, client-ready stories with actionable recommendations.
    • Present insights at a senior level with confidence - you're not reading a dashboard to a client, you're advising them.
    • Establish department-wide standards for reporting tools, templates, and cadence (Looker Studio, GA4, Triple Whale, Northbeam, or equivalent).
  • Strategic Oversight Across the Portfolio
    • Review performance across all client accounts weekly, flagging issues and opportunities the team should act on.
    • Spot-check campaign quality and reporting accuracy across the department, correcting course where needed.
    • Track platform changes, privacy developments, and emerging tools - and translate them into specific account-level actions.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 7+ years of hands-on experience in paid media, digital advertising, or performance marketing.
    • 3+ years leading or managing a team within an agency or in-house marketing function, while remaining hands-on with accounts.
    • Deep, current expertise in Meta Ads, Google Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax), and multi-channel paid media strategy - you can still build the campaign, not just describe one.
    • Familiarity with programmatic display, CTV, and retail media platforms (Amazon, Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart, DoorDash, etc.).
    • Proven ability to translate performance data into clear, actionable narratives - you don't just report numbers, you explain what they mean and what to do next.
    • Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, Triple Whale, Northbeam, or comparable platforms.
    • Experience building or standardizing reporting frameworks, dashboards, or client-facing performance narratives.
    • Proven track record leading client relationships and presenting strategy and insights at a senior level.
    • Outstanding communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field - or equivalent professional experience.
