Senior Performance Marketing Manager
Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed, multi-site healthcare platform investing in the next phase of its digital growth strategy. The organization is seeking a strategic, performance-oriented marketing leader to build scalable acquisition programs, optimize digital marketing performance, and establish the processes, reporting, and cross-functional partnerships needed to support continued expansion.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to own direct-response digital acquisition for the company’s 21-center network. You’ll be the day-to-day steward of paid search and SEO performance — working through and alongside an outside agency — with full accountability for appointment volume, call volume, budget efficiency, and profitable growth. You’ll also be the internal voice into our CRO/development agency, pushing for a site experience and conversion path that matches the urgency and trust our patients need in the moment they’re searching for care.
This role sits close to the business: you’ll report into the company’s marketing leadership and partner directly with Operations and Finance to make sure marketing spend translates into center-level volume and bottom-line results — not just platform metrics.
Responsibilities
- Direct Response & Paid Media Management
- Own SEM performance across the company’s network, managing the relationship and day-to-day execution with our paid search agency
- Set and direct daily/monthly budgets across centers and campaigns, reallocating spend toward what’s driving profitable volume
- Manage and grow appointment and call volume as the primary success metrics, not just clicks or impressions
- Monitor CPA and ROAS at the campaign and center level; identify and act on underperformance before it compounds
- Drive strategic shifts in bidding strategy, budget allocation, and campaign structure as the business and center footprint evolve
- Partner with Finance to align marketing spend and pacing with center-level revenue goals and new center openings
- SEO
- Oversee SEO strategy and execution in partnership with the agency, prioritizing initiatives by demand, effort, and business impact
- Guide location page strategy, content prioritization, and technical SEO health across the growing center network
- Track organic visibility and lead/appointment contribution by market
- Conversion Rate Optimization & Site Experience
- Serve as the marketing-side partner to the company’s CRO/development agency, translating funnel and conversion data into a prioritized optimization roadmap
- Drive improvements to on-site conversion rate, booking flow, and overall user experience for a patient base that is often searching under time pressure
- Use funnel and behavioral data to identify friction points and advocate for fixes and tests that move the needle on conversion
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Operations to understand center-level capacity, staffing, and demand dynamics that should inform budget and targeting decisions
- Partner with Finance on reporting, forecasting, and tying marketing performance to unit economics
- Report performance, risks, and recommendations up to the company’s marketing leadership on a recurring cadence
- Ways of Working
- Use AI tools as a core part of your workflow — for analysis, campaign planning, reporting, and execution — to move faster and operate with more rigor than a traditional performance marketing role would allow
- Bring structure and process to a marketing function that is still being built; document what works so it scales across 21+ centers
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a demonstrated focus on CPA/ROAS-driven outcomes rather than upper-funnel or brand metrics
- Proven experience managing SEM budgets and campaigns, including direct experience managing agency partners (not just executing in-platform yourself)
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, conversion tracking, and attribution fundamentals; comfort diagnosing performance issues down to the account and campaign level
- Experience partnering with or directing CRO/development resources to improve site conversion rate and user experience
- Familiarity with using AI tools in day-to-day marketing workflow — for analysis, planning, and execution — and genuine interest in using them to work faster and smarter
- Experience in multi-location, healthcare, or urgent-care-style businesses is a plus, but not required
- Comfort operating in a fast-growing, still-building environment — someone who brings structure rather than waiting for it to already exist
- Strong communication skills; able to translate marketing performance into terms Operations and Finance stakeholders care about
What Success Looks Like
- Appointment and call volume grow profitably across the network, with CPA/ROAS trending in the right direction center over center
- The SEM and SEO agency relationships are well-managed, with clear accountability and a steady cadence of strategic recommendations — not just reporting
- Site conversion rate improves measurably through a well-prioritized CRO roadmap
- Operations and Finance see marketing as a reliable, data-grounded partner in center-level growth planning
