About the Role

Magnolia Hotel Omaha is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Senior People Services Coordinator to support the hotel’s day-to-day People Services functions. This is a full-time, on-site position. The successful candidate will serve as the hotel’s only on-site Human Resources representative, requiring comfort with independent work, ownership of the function, and leadership by example. The role is designed to provide growth opportunities, with the potential to develop into a People Services Manager position based on performance, professional growth, and business needs.

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys Human Resources, takes pride in supporting team members, and is committed to maintaining accurate processes and a positive workplace. A consistent on-site presence is required; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Growth Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to gradually assume greater responsibility in areas such as employee relations, compliance, recruiting strategy, training, team member engagement, performance management, and leadership consultation. For candidates who demonstrate consistent performance, initiative, sound judgment, and technical HR knowledge, the position may evolve into a Human Resources Manager role. Progression is not automatic or guaranteed and depends on individual readiness, sustained performance, and business needs.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate takes ownership, creates structure, anticipates needs, and follows responsibilities through to completion. As the hotel’s only on-site HR representative, their conduct sets an example for others. They enjoy being a trusted resource and understand that successful HR work requires consistency, confidentiality, empathy, accuracy, and a sincere commitment to the team member experience. We seek someone eager to grow with Magnolia Hotel Omaha, develop a strong understanding of hotel operations, and build the knowledge and confidence needed to eventually lead the HR function.

  • Help coordinate team member recognition programs, engagement activities, meetings, celebrations, and other culture-building initiatives.
  • Support hotel leaders in consistently applying company policies and HR procedures.
  • Track important deadlines and maintain organized calendars, reports, checklists, and follow-up systems.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements, as well as company standards.
  • Partner closely with hotel leadership and corporate People Services while independently managing the hotel’s daily on-site HR needs.
  • Perform additional HR and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
