Senior Services Coordinator

About the role

The Town of Amherst Senior Services Department seeks a Senior Services Coordinator (Program Director) to provide support, advocacy, and case management to older adults and their families, helping them access resources that promote independence and aging in place. The position also provides counseling services, develops and leads programs and support groups, partners with community agencies, and assists with outreach, reporting, and grant activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• LSW or LCSW Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Four (4) to six (6) years of experience working with elders or other vulnerable populations
• Or any equivalent combination of experience, training, and education demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position

Pay

This is a full-time position offering an anticipated hiring range of $71,312 – $80,263 per year depending on experience.
