Senior People Business Partner

Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic and operational people advice
- Lead and deliver organization-wide people projects and change initiatives
- Use workforce data and insights to inform planning and decision-making
- Provide expert employment relations advice and support leaders to manage people matters effectively
- Coach and influence leaders to build capability and strengthen people leadership
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the People Workplan
- Support organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and provide guidance to a People and Projects Advisor
- Champion pro-equity approaches and culturally responsive practices throughout the organization
Requirements
You'll be an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment and enjoys partnering with leaders to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- At least five years' experience in a senior HR or People partnering role supporting senior leaders
- Strong employment relations expertise, ideally within a unionized environment
- Experience designing and delivering people initiatives across complex organizations
- Proven success building trusted relationships and coaching leaders
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using data and insights to drive decisions and influence outcomes
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
- A genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, pro-equity and culturally responsive practice
- A passion for supporting people and creating positive workplace experiences

Pay
The salary range for this role is between $85,000 - $100,000 per annum.
Schedule
This is a full-time fixed term position until September 2027.
