Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and dynamic team focused work unit.
  • Performs patient check-in/check-out functions, scheduling, and registration.
  • Coordinates patient flow, handles add-ons, reschedules, and cancellations.
  • Functions as a role model and mentor for less experienced staff.
  • Uses excellent communication skills to provide high-quality service.
  • Generates reports and assists with department correspondence.
  • Serves as a liaison for patients, medical staff, and third parties.
  • Enters patient and operational data accurately and timely.
  • Ensures patient information is conveyed appropriately while complying with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Accurately records information for financial objectives.
  • Displays initiative to improve job functions and offer process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Five years of experience, including three years in a related healthcare role.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated proficiency in English, strong customer service and scheduling skills, basic computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, problem-solving abilities, and working knowledge of revenue cycle components and insurance requirements.
