• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 7:40 AM – 4:30 PM
• Day shifts

Pay

Salary range: $18.25 – $25.50 per hour

About the role

The Senior Patient Access Representative serves as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and medical support staff in a fun, supportive work environment with great clientele.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure medical services are appropriately scheduled for patients
• Review procedure/surgery orders and schedule all necessary resources to perform the procedure/surgery
• Manage resource allocation and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Serve as a liaison between providers and supporting providers
• Manage provider schedules
• Collaborate with patients and providers to demonstrate medical necessity to insurance companies and obtain required prior authorization
• Perform registration duties and work the front desk as needed
• Train and mentor new employees
• Serve as an electronic medical record (EMR) super user
• Display professionalism and promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Use problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to resolve issues; seek guidance from leadership when appropriate

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education helpful
• Previous medical office experience preferred
• Prior electronic medical records (EMR) experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Customer service skills essential
• Six months’ customer service experience desired
• Proficiency in computer skills and use of multi-line telephone
