About the role

The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide direct professional occupational therapy services to our patients in the outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts patient consultation, evaluation, program planning and treatment to restore function, relieve pain, promote healing, prevent disability and/or facilitate adaptation to permanent disability.
  • Reviews patient referrals and medical records.
  • Contributes to performance improvement and quality management tasks.
  • Participates in patient and student education.
  • Affords assistance in orientation of new employees and volunteers.
  • Contributes to staff development or community education by presenting education in-services or community presentations.
  • Participates in the cross-training program, demonstrating competencies in at least two different services or through attainment of specialty certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
  • Three years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Available to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm to include a 1-hour lunch.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR).

Pay

  • Minimum: US Dollar (USD) 101,000
  • Midpoint: US Dollar (USD) 126,500
  • Maximum: US Dollar (USD) 152,000
