About the role
We are seeking a Senior Network Automation Developer with deep experience supporting and automating capital-markets / electronic-trading network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance automation and monitoring tooling for capital-markets network infrastructure.
- Administer and integrate Corvil packet capture and analytics solutions.
- Support TAP/SPAN / mirrored-traffic infrastructure for packet capture and analysis.
- Develop automation using Python, Bash, and SQL for data collection, validation, monitoring, and pipeline workflows.
- Support and validate market-data feeds, multicast traffic, FIX connectivity, and exchange connectivity.
- Build and integrate REST APIs, CMDB solutions, and infrastructure metadata systems.
- Work closely with network engineering, trading technology, operations, and risk stakeholders.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and operational processes using Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex network and trading-infrastructure issues at the IP, port, session, and packet level.
Requirements
- 9+ years of relevant experience in network automation, network monitoring, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong experience in capital markets, electronic trading, market data, or low-latency trading environments.
- Hands-on experience with Corvil packet capture / analytics.
- Strong Python development and automation experience.
- Experience with Bash and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of multicast, FIX, market-data feeds, feed handlers, and exchange connectivity.
- Strong networking fundamentals including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, TCP/IP, UDP, and session-level troubleshooting.
- Experience with REST APIs, CMDBs, and metadata/inventory systems.
- Experience with Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
Preferred Experience
- Low-latency or high-frequency trading infrastructure.
- Administering packet capture environments using TAP/SPAN or packet brokers.
- Building network telemetry, observability, or metadata pipelines.
