Senior MRI Technologist - Radiation Oncology

About the Role

The Senior MRI Advanced Modality Technologist performs advanced MRI procedures, supports department initiatives, and mentors staff and students in a high-acuity hospital setting supporting radiation oncology and medical imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
• Perform studies independently, including on-call and portable exams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (ACR, JC) and oversee quality assurance programs.
• Lead safety and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Mentor new employees and clinical students under supervision.
• Assist in developing department processes and enhancing patient and employee experience.

Requirements

• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent from trade school.
• 2+ years of experience in MRI or related imaging modalities.

Preferred Qualifications

• MRI licensing.
• Experience with Siemens MRI machines.
• Additional certifications such as CPR or IV therapy.

Schedule

Day shift, no call or weekend work.

Pay

Includes a 5% advanced modality differential.
